August Dinner at Steamboat House 8045 N. Sam Houston Parkway (Beltway 8 between Gessner and Sam Houston Race Park) Saturday August 14 6:30 to 8:30 PM Steamboat House is like visiting a Texas History Museum. There are oil portraits of Sam Houston and George Washington that are from the 1936 San Jacinto Centennial Celebration. There is Texas History memorabilia all around the restaurant. Although it is a steak house, there are plenty of other choices from sea food, chicken, and pork chops. All entrees are served with a salad, vegetable and their homemade pepper-beer bread. Prices vary from $14.50 for chicken to $69.00 for their best prime steak. Check out their web site for a full menu. We will have our own area with tables of 6 or 8 and receive separate checks but a 20% gratuity will be added to the check. Plenty of free parking. You must register to attend so I can tell them how many are coming in advance. Any questions call Lynn Burch at 713-446-3621
