BAYOU VISTA CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2026
5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M.
A Mardi Gras Parade on the Water!
Join your SCSC friends for the annual Bayou Vista Christmas Boat Parade—a festive holiday tradition with all the excitement of Mardi Gras, but on the water!
Bayou Vista residents deck out their boats in Christmas lights and decorations, parading up and down the canals while tossing candy to spectators gathered on docks and party-deck balconies. Come join the fun dockside and help us collect some candy!
Before and during the parade, Tom Thomas will be preparing his famous brisket and smoked chicken. Bring your favorite beverage and a dish to share. Please consider a $5-per-person donation to help cover the cost of the brisket and other supplies.
The parade kicks off on the east side of Bayou Vista and winds its way through the canals. It's a wonderfully festive way to celebrate the holidays, enjoy great food and make merry memories with your fellow SCSCers!
A Few Things to Know:
- Parking will be tight but manageable, so please consider carpooling.
- Why not make a weekend of it? Consider booking a room in Galveston and enjoy all the fun the entire weekend has to offer! And perhaps have a group brunch at a restaurant to be determined.
Come for the boats, stay for the brisket and celebrate the season with SCSC friends!
