Steamboat Springs is known as Ski Town USA for good reasons. Steamboat is home to Colorado’s oldest operating ski area. Not only was it the first, but it is now a world-class resort that consistently ranks high among the most popular destinations requested year after year by members of the Space City Ski Club. It’s not just your friends that like it - Steamboat is the destination of choice that even the best skiers in the world agree on. That’s why Steamboat has produced by far the greatest number of Winter Olympians of any ski town in North America - 100 and counting , with 13 athletes competing in the 2026 Milano Winter Games. Join us on this trip - you might get to share a chair lift with one of them!

Perhaps the most recognized reason to choose Steamboat is for the legendary Champagne Powder, a term coined by the resort to describe snow so dry it will tickle your nose. At 6% water density (15% is normal), you can’t make a snowball, but you will experience the best ski conditions the country has to offer. Great snow will be relished by any level of skier at Steamboat’s vast variety of 182 runs ranging from novice to expert.

ACCOMMODATIONS

There’s something special about waking up just steps from the slopes. Enjoy coffee while watching the mountain come alive, then click into your skis and be among the first making tracks. Our accommodations will be deluxe two-bedroom condominiums at the Bronze Tree Condominiums featuring ski-in and walk out access to the multiple base lifts on the slopes. The distinctive design of the complex offers spectacular views of the sweeping vistas of the Yampa Valley from every condo.
At the end of the day, you will enjoy skiing or snowboarding directly back via the “Right-O-Way” trail to the condos, where complementary ski lockers are available. The Bronze Tree is located near Ski Town Square and another short walk to Gondola Square. There are many restaurants, bars and shops to choose from within walking distance. Downtown, grocery stores and other shopping centers are easily accessible by complimentary on-call shuttle service. The Bronze Tree is the ideal combination of mountain magnificence and ultimate convenience.

TRANSPORTATION
One of the nicest parts of this trip is how easy it is. After a short flight and quick shuttle ride, you’ll be settling into your condo while many ski vacations are just beginning their long transfers. We will be flying from Houston to Hayden in a short shuttle. There are no grocery stops, however there is a free shuttle in Steamboat that provides access to a grocery store. We get in early enough to unpack then go to the grocery store. You can also have your groceries delivered. The following is our flight schedule:
UA2249 06 FEB 27 IAH/HDN 9:42A/11:57A
UA2451 13 FEB 27 HDN/IAH 1:00P/5:00P
If it appears that all full packages including air are taken just sign-up land only and call me. I can adjust the count to allow more air, and vice versa. I am aware that some want to schedule their own flights or do not live in Houston, so we allocated some spots to land only. We will evaluate the number of land packages we can offer after we have sold enough full packages to meet the minimum air seats needed to maintain group air prices

Even your non-skiing days become unforgettable in Steamboat. Whether you’re soaking in natural hot springs, exploring historic downtown sites or enjoying lunch with mountain views, there’s always another adventure waiting. If you are not skiing, you can still access and experience the mountain with the Gondola for dining at the top with awesome scenery and stunning natural views. For a change of pace, Haymaker Nordic Center offers 15 km of groomed trails for novice-to-advanced cross country and skate skiing plus 10km of snowshoe trails. Howelsen Hill is a City Park that offers more skiing and has ski-jumping for the ultra-daring. Other non-skiing activities include ice-skating, snowmobiling, horseback riding, fat-biking and winter fishing. Another club favorite activity is visiting Strawberry Park Hot Springs. You can take a break from the cold and soak in these natural mineral springs that average 104 degrees all year long. They offer various separate pools ranging from scalding hot to ice-cold.
When the lifts stop turning, the fun doesn’t end. Historic Lincoln Avenue comes alive each evening with western hospitality, cozy restaurants, local breweries, unique shops and plenty of places to gather with friends after another fantastic day on the mountain. Historic Downtown is the heart of the community that you must experience. The main drag is Lincoln Avenue which you can easily access by free shuttle. There are over 150 retail establishments Downtown which include many local and diverse eateries and many bars including three breweries and a whiskey distillery. There is also incredible shopping with a little something for everyone, from authentic western souvenirs, outdoor gear of all kinds to just funky accessories and resale shops.
