A Love Letter to Buddy Holly
Lifelong rock and roll fan and musician, Ian Montez, takes you on a journey back to the 1950s where early Rock and Roll ruled the airwaves and Buddy Holly was its brightest star. Ian Montez and The Maybe Baby Band pay tribute to not only the music of Buddy Holly, but many of Buddy’s contemporaries—all the hits that got the teenagers dancing as well as some catchy B-sides that slipped through the cracks of the billboard charts. You're guaranteed to be clapping your hands, stomping your feet, and singing along with this love letter to the birth of Rock and Roll.
We will stop at Cork This Tap That for a late lunch (on your own), then proceed to the winery arriving by 3:45.
For those interested in doing a wine tasting, you are welcome to book that on your own at www.bernhardtwinery.com (walk-ins are also welcome if space is available).
For the concert, tables and chairs will be reserved for everyone. You are welcome to bring a small ice chest with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
- Last classic wine tasting is at 5:00 p.m. ($20.00+tax).
- Last guided tour and tasting is at 4:00 p.m. ($25.00+tax).
- Flights of 5 wines are available during the concert for $15.00 as well as bottles of wine. Wine by glass and beer are also sold. Charcuterie boards and other small bites are sold.
- Concert gates open at 4:30.
- We do not need to enter the concert area together—just need to give the SCSC name for seating.
Details:
$24.00/person ($26.00 for non-members) which includes the admission to the winery for the lawn concert. There will be snacks and water on the bus. No charge for the bus. Lunch is on your own.

FYI—there are no restrooms on the bus.
Please arrive at Memorial City Mall no later than 12:30. The bus location address is 12161 Barryknoll Lane,--look for the triangular parking lot.
DIRECTIONS FROM GESSNER:
Turn on Barryknoll from Gessner. Go just a little way down, and right past Planation on your right, there is a triangular parking lot. That is where we will meet. It’s almost directly across Barryknoll from the Cinemark Theater in the mall. If you get to the apartments on your right, you’ve gone too far.
